How to read these plans
Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans replace Original Medicare and usually include drug coverage; you still pay the Part B premium. Stand-alone prescription drug plans (Part D) add drug coverage to Original Medicare and are sold statewide. The out-of-pocket maximum caps what you pay for in-network Part A and B services in a year. CMS rates plans from 1 to 5 stars on quality and member experience. Open enrollment runs from October 15 to December 7.
